The Arc of Bergen and Passaic Counties, Inc., is a private not-for profit organization of families, self advocates, professionals and community members dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc is a membership organization affiliated with The Arc of New Jersey and The Arc of the United States.

The Arc’s volunteer Board of Trustees includes representatives from the community and family members. Under the guidance and direction of the Board over 350 professional and support staff and volunteers offer a comprehensive array of programs and services to Bergen and Passaic County residents with disabilities and their families.

The Arc serves over 1,000 individuals with disabilities and their families annually without regard to race, creed or natural origin. Most services are provided at no cost or on a sliding fee scale basis. Services include Prevention, Early Intervention, Family Support, Residential, Vocational, and Recreation.

Funding for The Arc’s programs and services comes form a variety of sources including government contracts, industrial sales, grants, the United Way, fundraising events and contributions from the public. The Arc is a not for profit 501(C)(3) charitable organization, therefore contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
